Straight Up

So here's the thing to remember for all naturals and transitioners...watch the heat people! It's something you have to be kind of "crazy" about. If you're at the salon and you smell smoke...leave. I can't stress this enough. If you want all of your hair to have the same curl pattern, watch the heat. However, as I said before, if you never want to wear it curly it doesn't matter. Although if you have pieces that get stringy, it is most likely heat damaged.

My personal preference is to wear my hair curly so I straighten a few times a year. I went to a Dominican salon and got a blowout. I heard through the internet reviews they didn't go too nuts on the heat. She did a really good job and it didn't smell like a kitchen in there :-)
